BFM is a Class D airport. The ILS 32

"Obtain local altimeter on CTAF." Why in the world would they say that?
The local altimeter is available on the ATIS or ASOS 24/7. Another
plate says "When control zone not in effect: ... Use Mobile altimeter
setting." Why not use the ASOS altimeter? The VOR 14 plate does not
mention the altimeter setting at all.

Looking at an A/FD a few years out of date shows an ASOS without broadcast
capability at BFM. The current sectional shows the ASOS now broadcast on
135.57, the same frequency as the ATIS. The capability of broadcasting the
ASOS on the ATIS frequency when a part-time tower is closed was supposed to
have been installed nationwide years ago, but is way behind schedule.
Apparently it was completed at BFM not so long ago, the IAPs will eventually
reflect it.

The notes probably predate the installation of the ASOS.

If you email them about it, they will fix it. At least that has been my
experience.
